St. Irenaeus of Lyons is a singular figure of great importance in the sub-apostolic Church. Paulist Press has just this month brought out a translation of the work for which Irenaeus is so well known: St. Irenaeus of Lyons: Against the Heresies (Book 3) (Paulist, 2012, 256pp).
Translated and annotated by the Franciscan Dominic J. Unger, this edition has an introduction and further revisions by the Orthodox theologian M.C. Steenberg, to whose recent work on Irenaeus and on theological anthropology I drew attention here.
