In the Roman Catholic world, this springtime/Paschaltide is often Confirmation season, a season and a sacrament that raise at least as many questions as they purport to answer. Now is as good a time as any to recall my friend Nick Denysenko's book, which my grad students, all Roman Catholics, have found invaluable in thinking through some of these thorny pastoral, pedagogical, psychological, mystagogical, and sacramental questions: Chrismation: A Primer for Catholics.
I interviewed Nick here about this book, and you will want to check that out for his further thoughts.
